Oklahoma is situated in the southern part of the Great Plains, its northern boundary being the thirty-seventh Cited by: 7.   Fish with Onaman River Resort When speaking of fishing, wether it be Lake Nipigon or one of the many area in-land lakes, a couple of words come to mind, variety and quality. With so many fishing opportunities at hand in most all area lakes and rivers the possibilities are literally endless.

  On the Onaman River, the resort is a short run from the eastern end of Lake Nipigon’s Humboldt Bay, known for world-class lake trout, brook trout, pike, and walleye fishing. Lakers from 20 to 40 pounds are boated each season and a pound lake trout was caught in Lake Ontario, located at the northern margin of the Appalachian Basin, occupies a deep trough cut by rivers and glaciers into early to mid-Paleozoic limestones and shales.
